Lifting Hooks for Precast Concrete

Lifting Hooks are tools that uses high-performance alloy steel to be produced by hot die forging to connect utility anchors, U type anchors, cast in loops, lifting clutch to lift precast concrete blocks to a specified position.

The Types of Lifting Hooks for Precast Concrete

It has many types, and different standards. We offer Lifting Hooks of strength G60, G70 and G80. Its styles mainly include:

Clevis Slip Hooks（Clevis Sling Hooks）

We use it to connect chains and concrete prefabricated blocks to lifting loops, lifting clutch, cast in lifting loops, etc.

It has 4 functional areas:

Clevis

Used to insert into chains of corresponding thickness, with holes on them to facilitate insertion of clevis pins.

Clevis Pin

Used to insert clevis holes, which acts to withstand axial shear loads.

Hooks Body

The interior is curved in an arc. It is more convenient for the hook to slide into the object to be lifted.

Safety Latch (optional structure)

It is a spring-plus rod or piece rebound structure.

How it Work：

When we use it, we need to clamp the Clevis on a ring at the end of the chain, insert the Clevis hole using the Clevis Pin, and then insert the safety pin into one end hole of the Pin. This step completes the link between Clevis Slip Hooks and the chain.

We are hanging the hook on the lifting point of the concrete block.

The crane slowly pulls up until it is tightened to prevent the hook from falling off.

Notice:

Before hoisting, we must check whether the hook is falling off.

Eye Slip Hooks

The difference between it and the Clevis Slip Hooks is that the tail is a ring (also called the eye). It is a hook designed to connect shackles, wire ropes or ropes.

Eye:

It is forged in an integrated manner with the hook body, and has stronger tensile resistance. It is designed to adapt to the passage of wire ropes, cables and shackles to form a more stable connection.

Hooks Body：

This is the mounting location, which bears load tension. The chain ring can be slid in the cavity to adjust the chain length, and the hook can be easily loaded and removed before the Slip Hooks are tightened.Suitable for more linked objects such as Lifting Clutch, Chain.

Safety Latch (optional structure) :

It is a structure that uses a combination of springs and steel plates (steel rods). Hooks will automatically rebound after entering the hoisting body.

How it work：

Pass the wire rope, cable, or shackle through the Eye and fix the wire rope, etc.

Hang the hook on the lifting point of the concrete block.

The crane slowly pulls up until it is tightened to prevent the hook from falling off.

Notice:

Before hoisting, we must check whether the hook is falling off.

Clevis Grab Hooks

The difference between it and Clevis Slip Hooks is that the hooks body is a grab design, and the gaps in the hook body are very narrow. Only the links are allowed to be placed horizontally, so the links cannot slide anymore. We can adjust the length of the chain by hooking it to a ring of the chain.

Eye Grab Hooks

Its Eye design is consistent with Eye Slip Hooks, and its main body is consistent with Clevis Grab Hooks.

Production of Lifting Hooks for Precast Concrete

1. Schedule according to order quantity:

Our technical team will develop solutions that include delivery time and price based on your Lifting Hooks order requirements (quantity, surface treatment, material, whether to treat heat, etc.).

2. Raw material procurement and quality inspection:

The raw materials from Lifting Hooks will be directly supplied by our close-knit raw materials factory. We will still strictly inspect all aspects of performance before entering production to ensure overall quality from the source.

3. Mold installation and debugging:

Before production, our engineers will install and complete the debugging of the mold. And produce samples of multiple Lifting Hooks to complete calibration tests. The official production of the order will only begin after the sample size and performance meet the requirements.

4. Cutting:

We have an advanced fully automatic cutting machine, and we can cut steel rods into the same size just by setting the cut size.

5. Blank heating:

High-efficiency fully automatic electromagnetic induction heating pipe will efficiently complete the blank heating and transport the blank to the next step after heating to the specified temperature.

6. Forging:

The blank is first repaired by free forging, and the employee places the blank after the repair in an open forging die. The mold is closed and after opening it, you get a semi-finished product from Lifting Hooks with flying edges.

7. Semi-finished product testing

We sample and test the semi-finished products of Lifting Hooks, and the samples we extract must represent the entire order. Used to complete the detection of mechanical properties such as tension, shear force, impact force, etc.

8. Finishing: Flash treatment, shot blasting, surface treatment

Lifting Hooks are treated with flapping and blasting to obtain the raw black version. Then galvanized or powdered coating to obtain the final product.

9. Quality inspection: performance and quantity

The finished product needs to be tested for more indicators, increased size, surface adhesion thickness, etc. The quality inspector will also check the number of Lifting Hooks.

10. Packaging and delivery

We have a close cooperation packaging factory, and we can formulate packaging appearance materials and packaging methods as needed. We have our own logistics consulting team and will complete the delivery of orders within the specified time.
