Reducing Galvanized Safety Rail Fittings 90 Degree Elbow Details
We are an experienced safety rail fittings supplier in China. We have integrated a complete supply chain and formed a professional team to provide more thoughtful services to help you complete your purchase tasks in China more quickly. Here are some of the advantages, disadvantages and applications of this product that we have summarized.
What is Safety Rail Fittings
It is a pipe fitting designed for the construction of safety railing systems. There are many types of pipe fittings that can be used in this system, among which slip on pipe fitting is the most widely used. This is because it is easier to install and has stronger protective performance.
125R reducing 90 degree elbow is used in safety rail fittings to connect uprights and handrails and the two must be two pipes of different thicknesses.
Structure:
It has two sockets of different diameters, each with an Allen Bolts to fasten the inserted pipe.
Material:
Its material is cast iron, which can be further divided into ductile iron and malleable cast iron. The performance of ductile iron is better than that of malleable cast iron in all aspects, especially in impact resistance. Therefore, we recommend you to choose ductile iron safety rail fittings.
Surface Treatment:
We can provide three surface treatments: hot dip galvanizing, powder coating, and double galvanizing (hot dip galvanizing first and then electro galvanizing). We do not provide safety rail fittings that are only electro galvanized. Because the surface of sand cast fittings is rough and porous, the surface quality of electro galvanizing will be very low and reduce its service life. The surface of double galvanizing is bright and very attractive.
How it Works:
Step 1: Check the thickness of the two pipes to make sure they are suitable for the fitting.
Step 2: Loosen the Allen bolts on the socket until the pipe can be easily inserted (if the Allen bolts are not on the fitting, you can ignore this step).
Step 3: Gently bend the two tubes and insert them into the sockets of 125R reducing 90 degree elbow.
Step 4: Use the Allen key to tighten the Allen bolts.
Step 5: Check the stability of the system. Reinforce the Allen bolts of the entire system.
Note:
When purchasing, we must pay attention to the fact that the inner diameter of the socket corresponds to the outer diameter of the pipe, and the units are inches and mm.
The fittings in inches or mm described by the supplier often refer to the inner diameter of the socket.
How We Produced the 125R Galvanized Safety Rail Fittings 90 Degree Elbow
For standard products, we have already built a complete set of molds, which can complete the order and deliver it faster. If a custom size is required, we need to create the corresponding mold.
1. Develop solutions:
We will first select the appropriate process (mechanical or manual molding) according to the type and quantity of fittings required by the order. Choosing the right process helps reduce the cost of the order.
2. Make the mold
Use the pattern to complete the sand mold manufacturing, fill the sand core and close the mold.
3. Smelt cast iron
The smelting process of malleable cast iron is very complicated, while that of ductile iron is much simpler.
4. Casting
Liquid cast iron needs to be cast at a specific temperature. When pouring, it is necessary to pay attention to the surface oxide scale not pouring into the gate.
5. Cutting and shot blasting
Cut the Reducing 90 Degree Elbow from the casting tree. Grind the cut part and then put it into the shot blasting machine for shot blasting.
6. Surface treatment
Hot-dip galvanizing. Double galvanizing involves electro-galvanizing after hot-dip galvanizing.
Quality Control:
We have an advanced quality control center that can complete the testing of material internal structure, toughness, impact resistance, shear resistance, hardness, etc. You can make a request and we will complete it and issue a detailed test report.
Impact Test
We have an impact tester that can test the toughness of Safety Rail Fittings to ensure it can meet the protection requirements.
Surface Thickness Test
We have a thickness gauge to complete the coating thickness test. The Safety Rail Fittings we provide are all above the standard thickness.
Salt spray test
Our salt spray test machine can simulate the use environment and test the rust or corrosion resistance of Reducing 90 Degree Elbow.
Dimensional Measurement
We have advanced measuring tools to ensure that the inner diameter of the fittings meets the drawing requirements.
Safety Rail Fittings Factory
Our factory has the mold for CD Reducing 90 Degree Elbow, which can deliver orders of this size faster. For other fittings, we have a full set of molds. Here we will show you our foundry, surface treatment factory and quality inspection center. You can click to enter the details page to learn more, or you can contact us at any time to come to China for a field visit.
Sand Casting Foundry
Our sand casting foundry is where precision meets efficiency. We use purpose-built patterns and high-quality molding sand to create crisp, defect-free castings that form the core of every safety rail fitting. Experienced technicians oversee molten iron pouring and solidification, ensuring minimal shrinkage and porosity. Once cooled, each casting is carefully removed from its gating system, trimmed, and prepared for the next stage. This process not only preserves dimensional accuracy but also accelerates lead times for both standard and custom orders.
Surface Treatment Factory
In our surface treatment factory, we apply industry-leading finishes that enhance both performance and appearance. Whether it's hot-dip galvanizing for robust corrosion resistance or powder coating for a sleek, uniform look, we strictly control bath chemistry, cure temperatures, and coating thickness. For customers seeking that extra polish, our dual galvanizing process-hot-dip followed by electroplating-delivers a bright, durable finish that stands up to the harshest environments. Each batch undergoes inspection before moving on to final assembly and packing.
Quality Control Center
Quality is at the heart of everything we do, and our Quality Control Center proves it. Here, we conduct comprehensive inspections on every batch of safety rail fittings, from internal microstructure analysis to impact toughness testing. Our salt spray chambers simulate years of exposure in just days, while precision gauges verify socket diameters against customer drawings. Every report is documented and shared with you, so you can be confident that each fitting leaving our factory meets-or exceeds-the highest international standards.
